Robert: Well, it's normal for like DVD replication company A to have stuff made for them by company B or company C, but this is just an egregious example of over priced [badging]. And look, there are some great $100, $200 Blu-ray boxes out there, and if you're using these HDMI port, dude, tell them.
Patrick: Totally. One place where you would spend a little bit more on a player is if you needed a full selection of analog audio outputs.
Robert: Okay. That's where they would use perhaps better DVD Replication quality components to achieve a better sound quality for analog output. But for digital output, normally it's just bits, and the bits go into a decoder and it's more important to be on the AB receiver than in terms of getting quality.
Patrick: Spend the money on your speakers; spend the money on your screen.
